OPE 2007 - 2013 STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE
Improvement, preservation and recovery of the natural environment and development of the environmental infrastructure.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
  • Protection and improvement of the condition of water resources;
  • Improvement of waste management and soil protection;
  • Preservation of biodiversity and nature protection.
The realization of these objectives will contribute to improve the quality of life of the population and increase the capacity for investments in Bulgarian economy.

OP Environment 2007 - 2013 was developed in 2005 - 2006 by a working group including representatives of all stakeholders - central, local and district administration, business, nongovernmental environmental organizations, scientific organizations, syndicates, etc.

The total financial package for the implementation of Operational Programme Environment 2007 - 2013 amounts to EUR 1 800 748 085.
