108% are the contracted resources in "Water" sector under the Operational Programme "Environment 2007-2013".  This said ​​today, Minister of Environment and Water Ms. Nona Karadzhova during the signing of three contracts for grant aid for construction of water infrastructure on the territory of Sofia municipality - engineering infrastructure of the "blvd. Slivnitsa" area - II stage of Bankya and the districts Gradoman, Mikhailova, Verdikal, Ivanyane village and construction of stand-in of the left collector of Vladaya. The total value of the three projects is 114 MBGN and is funded by the Operational Programme "Environment 2007-2013".

"With the projects signed today, the contracted funds in "Water" sector are nearly 2.7 billion or 108.4% of the funds for the sector. Only Sofia municipality absorbed and contracted funds amounted 440 MBGN. Without the help from the European Union, these funds could not be provided. I have to thank the team of Sofia Municipality for the excellent work on the preparation and implementation of projects. Because with the construction of new sewage and water supply networks, and replacement of old, it is provided a basic environmental infrastructure for generations to come ", concludes Minister Karadzhova.

With the implementation of projects will be constructed 54 km. sewerage network and 15 km. water supply network and about 250 thousand people will be connected to the sewerage system which will optimize the performance of  "Kubratovo" WWTP.

Earlier today Minister Karadzhova signed three contracts for building of infrastructure in the water sector with the municipalities Sopot, Kazanlak and Etropole. In Sopot Municipality will be constructed a modern sewage system along with the replacement of the water supply in the city. The project is worth 35 million. With the inclusion of new 12 thousand people will be achieved full capacity of the WWTP - Sopot, which was built with funds under OP "Environment 2007-2013". With nearly 45 MBGN in the municipalities of Kazanlak and Etropole will be constructed water treatment plants to meet the highest standards for sewage treatment.
