A PROJECT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WATER INFRASTRUCTURE HAS STARTED IN PARVOMAY MUNICIPALITY

In Parvomay city started the construction activities on project “Improvement and development on infrastructure for water and wastewater”. Mr. Spiridon Aleksandrov from the Managing Authority of Operational programme “Environment 2007 – 2013”, the Mayor of the Municipality Parvomay Mr. Angel Papazov and District governor of Plovdiv Mr. Ventsislav Kaimakanov did the first sod at  Lyubenovo sq. in Parvomay city. The project is funded by Operational programme “Environment 2007 -2013” and is worth MBGN 36.

“The projects which are implementing by Operational  programme “Environment 2007 – 2013” meet the highest requirements of our and the European legislation” said Mr. Spiridon Aleksandrov. He noted that for Technical assistance’s project, Municipality Parvomay has acquired funds in the amount of BGN 668 000, 00, which were necessary for the preparation of this important for the city project. According to Mr. Aleksandrov behind the number MBGN 36, there are three other figures – forthcoming is the construction of 20 km. sewerage network, 19 km. water supply network, as well as construction of Wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with capacity of 20 000 PE.

The Mayor of Parvomay noted that this is the largest project, which the Municipality has carried out and reminded that so far there hasn’t been any WWTP, which enables the ecological wastewater treatment in the region. In conclusion the mayor alerted residents of Parvomay that the implementation of construction activities on the project will be linked to some inconvenience, such as stopping water, but it will be for good.

With the implementation of the project is expected to raise the attractiveness of the city as a place for business and investment, which will bring to improvement for the welfare of the population, retention of qualified staff, attraction of new staff and creation of new jobs.
