THE UPGRADING AND FURTHER BUILDING OF SEWERAGE AND WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN AKSAKOVO CITY HAS BEGUN

“In the beginning of 2015 Aksakovo will enter the list of the ten Bulgarian municipalities with fully built water supply and sewerage networks” announced the Mayor of Aksakovo Mr. Atanas Stoilov, who in the presence the district governor of Varna Mr. Ivan Velikov did the first sod under the project "Improvement of urban infrastructure for water and waste water in Aksakovo city». Its total amount is MBGN 13, 4 and is funded by Operational programme “Environment 2007 – 2013”.

During the ceremony, Mayor Stoilov pointed out that fully developed sewerage system could drastically reduce the number of accidents and loss of water along network as well as an overall improvement in the quality of water supply and sewerage services. After completion of the project in February 2015 Municipality plans a massive re-asphalting of the streets in the city, since the renewed water supply infrastructure will provide certainty for a minimum of accidents at least the next 30 years", said the Mayor Stoilov.

Within the project has anticipated to take place over 6 km. reconstruction of street sewerage network, to construct over 4 km. new sewerage network to be reconstructed over 8 km. water supply network. As a result of the implementation of project activities it is expected to improve the environmental situation in the region of Varna Lake - the Black Sea.
